Half of the office space available at Nailers Yard in Bromsgrove is currently under offer, according to the Council's letting agents. Two of the three remaining suites are on target to be leased by Christmas.

The commercial building and community hub was developed on the site of the Former Market Hall following a successful bid for Levelling Up funding of £14.5m.

Confidence in the Development

The initial let at Nailers Yard has been successful, with the letting agents providing continued positive forecasts. Council Leader Karen May said the update demonstrates that "Nailers Yard is coming to life".

"The fact that businesses are committing before completion demonstrates a confidence in the development which will bring new businesses, activities and opportunities into the heart of Bromsgrove," she added.

What the Development Will Include

The scheme will create a commercial and community destination bringing jobs, footfall, events, workspace and new opportunities to Bromsgrove town centre. It also includes the Pavilion, a flexible community space where people can meet, learn, create, celebrate and connect.

Underground Discovery on George Street

During construction works, a hole was discovered beneath George Street. Initial investigations indicate it is linked to a disused culvert. The Council is working closely with its contractor, engineers and highways colleagues to investigate and agree a safe, permanent solution.

Cllr May said: "Bromsgrove is steeped in history, and we have unearthed a piece of it! While this is not a direct part of the project, we have taken the opportunity to ensure the ground conditions are safe."
