Culture Central has been appointed to deliver the Local Cultural Sector Skills and Capacity Development Programme for the Bromsgrove area, following a competitive tender process run by ReNEW.

The programme forms part of ReNEW's Shaping Futures strand, which aims to strengthen the region's cultural landscape through development opportunities and collaborative working.

What the programme will offer

Culture Central will lead the delivery of training, learning, and professional development opportunities for practitioners already working in the cultural sector locally. The tailored programme will respond to current and emerging needs, helping cultural organisations and practitioners adapt, innovate, and thrive as the sector changes.

Why this investment matters

Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing, Leisure and Culture Cllr. Shirley Webb said: "The future success of our cultural sector depends on the people who work within it. This programme will provide valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring that local cultural practitioners are equipped to meet future challenges and seize new opportunities. We are proud to see such a well renowned provider taking on this project and look forward to seeing the work they champion."

Petro Nicolaides, Chair of the North East Worcestershire Cultural Compact, said: "We are delighted to be working with Culture Central on this project. Their strong track record makes them ideally placed to deliver a programme that responds to the sector's needs. This investment represents an important step in strengthening our cultural sector so they can continue to create opportunities and enrich our communities."

Culture Central brings experience in sector development, leadership programmes, and cultural partnership working.
