A new environmental zone called the Garden of Alchemy will feature at Bromsgrove Carnival this summer, offering free activities, live entertainment and community-led experiences focused on nature, sustainability and environmental awareness.
The Garden of Alchemy opens on Saturday 11 July from 1pm to 5pm in Sanders Park. It will include arts and interactive activities for all ages, alongside information from local environmental organisations and practical ideas for sustainable living.
Cllr Shirley Webb, Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing, Leisure and Culture at Bromsgrove District Council, said: "Bromsgrove Carnival is a real highlight of the summer, and it's great to be working in partnership to bring something new and engaging for residents and visitors. We hope the Garden of Alchemy will showcase creativity, bring people together, and inspire simple, practical action on environmental issues in a fun and family-friendly way."
Wider Carnival Programme
The Garden of Alchemy is part of the wider Bromsgrove Carnival celebrations at Sanders Park. The event begins with an outdoor cinema on Friday 10 July, followed by the main carnival on Saturday 11 July.
The Saturday programme includes a parade from Artrix to Sanders Park, a live music stage, funfair, performers, and stalls from community groups and charities.
