Stourbridge Road Car Park will close permanently from 24 September as Bromsgrove District Council progresses with plans to redevelop the site.
Residents, visitors and businesses are being encouraged to use alternative parking facilities across the town centre. Six car parks are within walking distance of the High Street, including School Drive Car Park and Parkside Car Park.
Parking alternatives available
Bromsgrove town centre retains a substantial parking offer despite the closure. The council has confirmed ample parking is available at alternative sites in close proximity to the town centre.
Signage will be installed to direct motorists to nearby car parks. Information on parking locations can be found on the council's website.
Investment plans ahead
Cllr Karen May, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Leader of Bromsgrove District Council, said the closure marks the beginning of a major investment in that part of the town centre. She stated the redevelopment will create jobs, attract footfall and support the local economy.
